12” x 4.5” live edge Elm bowl, salvaged from an Elm tree caught in a residential fire outside of Wimberley, TX. The naturally charred rim holds the remnants of the scene, and was not done by hand like the other charred pieces. Perfect to catch keys and jewelry, or to serve dry foods.
Featuring a thin profile and a large bark inclusion in the side wall that exemplify the delicacy required to take this piece to the finish line. The bold colors in the grain look like fire, and are most appropriate. This piece is sealed with food safe walnut oil and carnauba wax.
